But in general I think Blogger is much better when it comes to blogging than Yahoo 360. You can call this my "first signup of the year". I just created a Yahoo 360 account and am trying to figure out what its all about. Its a neat plugin that provides split screen view so you can use the browser while you type your blog post etc.

Next up is trying out Skypeheadset which makes it really convenient to use Skype with the bluetooth headset because it supports stuff like call and mute using the headset buttons - just like a regular mobile phone! Ohhhh I love technology!!! :-) I'm using the Performancing plugin for Firefox to write this blog by the way. Its so wonderfully awesome once you get it working (after hours of frustration, cursing and generally draining the laptop battery - unless its plugged in to mains the bluetooth thingie can drain your battery in between blinks). Towards that end I seem to have somehow mastered the art of getting my Bluetooth headset (Nokia HS4W) working with my laptop (Sony Vaio, as of this writing) using a Belkin Bluetooth USB thingie (which works for up to 100 metres by the way). And the other seriously funny one is to be using Skype more often. Ok so one of my new year's resolutions is going to be blog more. The subreddit r/Pulseway has not had a post for a year.Welcome! Hope you have a wondeful year that is filled with happiness, fulfilled dreams and other such things. If Atera is lacking too many features, we'll certainly evaluate your platform as well. This is a great approach, allowing MSP to grow organically without large upfront costs, and to mitigate the impact of clients paying late or having difficult situation during the pandemic. We now have a way to impress our clients in pro-actively notifying them about a potential issue on any device, and being able to say "done deal" when they ask "can you take care of it".Īnd Atera is smart in their investment, as they know this will generate more opportunities/work and therefore the need for more technicians and the purchase of additional licenses. etc.įinally MSP can have the piece of mind to deploy an agent absolutely everywhere, all servers, all desktops old and new, all tablets running windows, management office and home computers, without worrying at what the additional cost is going to be. And this is, in my opinion, what is going to propel this company to the top.įinally someone understood that MSPs are tired of being beans counters and having to waste hours in reconciling number of workstation/servers/device agents, to bill the client, who then is upset when the count goes up, etc. But what is most attractive to MSPs is the ability to be billed by technician rather than endpoint monitored.

Their interface is extremely clean, and they offer several built-in remote software solutions. While they are lacking of some critical functionalities, they have a tremendous potential. We are currently evaluating which RMM/PSA tool we are going to migrate with. So might as well change PSA too and go with a company that has designed both the RMM + PSA at the same time to be really well integrated whereas Connectwise will always be a mishmash of software acquisitions that were never designed to work together to start with, resulting in a completely non-intuitive, convoluted overpriced solution. Since the rest of the Continuum offering is more than meh, very heavy/convoluted agents, we are going to move to another RMM.

However, shortly after they acquired Continuum, Connectwise announced that they are dropping the LogMeIn Pro integration leaving MSPs with the Connectwise crappy remote software. LogMeIn Pro (aka best remote/scripting software in the world) is the reason why we never left Continuum since we started in 2008 (back when it was Zenith Infotech). Theses guys had an exclusivity with LogMein, and were providing LogMeIn pro as part of all workstation and server agents deployed. Am I the only one thinking that Connectwise lately has been following the Microsoft playbook, in a bad way?Ĭonnectwise seems to be on a roll, trying to acquire as many competitors and MSP vendors as they can, but:Īt best: Connectwise is completely failing to provide the same level of flexibility, support, detailed billing, and sense of community we used to haveĪt worst: they shut down the good features of these vendors so as to eliminate competition for the Connectwise versions often more expensive and much worse.įor example, Connectwise recently acquired Continuum.
